Here is a detailed summary on some of the project cars featured on Burd’s Garage. Remember that we receive ZERO compensation for the products and companies referenced with the below listed vehicles!
This fox body Mustang’s original 302 Engine was recently converted to a 347 CID via a stroker kit from Eagle. It still has the stock T-5 manual transmission and 8.8 rear end with drum brakes, but the gear has been changed to a 3.55. The car made 340 horsepower and 371 pound feet of torque during our most recent dyno test and tune (check out the dyno test and tune video on our YouTube Channel). The Mustang was repainted with PPG DBC base coat/2021 clear coat in its original color of deep jewel green metallic. The original wheels, interior, and even the “5.0” badging have been retained to give the Mustang a stock and “sleeper” appearance. This Mustang was featured in episodes 1, 11 and 14 of Burd’s Garage.
This rare, modern classic has only 8,900 miles on the odometer since new! Any modifications done on this car are completed only if they look stock in appearance to keep that original OE look. This car was featured on episode 3 and 15 of Burd’s Garage.
This rare Montego was a local find and shows only 61,000 miles on the odometer! The car contains all of the original parts under the hood, interior, and trunk. It also came with its original window sticker! The 302 V-8 has the VIN number stamped on the back of the block and has the original aluminum engine tag on the front. Some of the other (few) options with the car are a C4 automatic transmission, power steering, AM radio, black vinyl top, and wheel covers. It also has a very rare “power ventilation” option, which helps forces additional fresh air into the passenger compartment. The Montego is featured in episodes 2, 7 and 9 of Burd’s Garage.
This Mustang was found rotting in a farmers field until we purchased it. We did get the car cheap because of this, and it needs an total, ground up restoration and extensive sheet metal replacement. Continue to follow our shows as we walk you through all the steps of vehicle restoration and bring this pony back to it's former glory! This '65 is featured in episode 13,16, 17, and 18 of Burd's Garage.
This vehicle has yet to make an official appearance on Burd’s Garage, but it’s worth highlighting here! This has been an off/on project car in the shop since 2003, going through many different concepts over the years and has never been on the road. A few years ago, we changed course again and decided to go full custom, as the drivetrain for our Cougar will be from a 1999 Mustang Cobra. We also recently eliminated all of the side trim, marker lights, and emblems from the body.
This Lariat Edition currently shows 88,000 miles on the odometer and has served us well since new. Besides some common aftermarket upgrades like Powerstop Brakes, step bars, and tonneau cover, this truck is pretty much stock. This F-150 is featured in episode 4 of Burd’s Garage.
We eventually want to take the truck away from it's stock roots and build it into one bad ass machine! We are currently looking for sponsors to showcase your aftermarket companies products in this ride. If interested, please email us at burdsgarage@gmail.com and let us know who you represent and what you have. Thanks!
